00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:08,000
Welcome to Soul Elevation: Guiding Your Ascension to New Heights. I'm your host Kara Goodwin. I'm so happy to be here with you on Monday, June 1st, 2026. Today I wanna talk about your intuition and how you can want... how you want to be sure to give yourself the right conditions
to be able to tap into your intuition. Because a lot of times people feel that they are not intuitive, and I believe that everybody is equipped with the human technology, if we wanna think of it that way, the organic natural human technology, or with the gifts, with the, um, with

1
00:01:00,000 --> 00:01:08,000
what you need through your natural human design. Intuition is a part of your natural design. But we have this modern life that creates competition with our, our intuition. So at any given moment, we are choosing how we express ourselves, what we're paying attention to, what we're engaging with, and a lot of
times the choices that we make are not nurturing our intuition. It's not setting up the playing field for us to be able to decipher our intuition or those intuitive mes- messages. And we, if we don't have the right conducive environment, then we're not gonna be able to receive the messages. So in the same

2
00:02:00,000 --> 00:02:08,000
way that if you want to hear a, um, you know, you wanna hear a phone call and you're at a loud concert, and somebody is just speaking to you kind of in a whisper, and you're trying to hear them, but you've got this competition of this blaring music, it's gonna be hard for you to hear what the person is saying on the other
line if they're speaking quietly. And this is a great analogy for our intuition because our intuition doesn't scream at us. It speaks subtly. It sends us subtle communication. So we have to give ourselves the environment and the, um, the, the ripe, the ripe setting for us to be able to connect with the intuitive guidance

3
00:03:00,000 --> 00:03:08,000
And so meditation is gonna be a really easy way to do that. You know, that's always gonna be the first thing that I tell you is to develop a meditation practice. But that isn't the only way. And I know that a lot of people have barriers to creating a meditation practice, and a lot of those are just mental mindset barriers where they tell themselves that they can't do it, or they don't put it into practice. They feel like that's too
intense for them. But it's not just about meditation. It is about the way that you live your life. So ev- and even if you are a meditator, you may create that space one time a day in your life, and then you barrel through the rest of your, your day, where you're, again, not making it very easy for the subtle messages to come in. And the reason that it's so important that we do give ourselves the time and the space to get the intuitive

4
00:04:00,000 --> 00:04:08,000
hits is because sometimes we're going on the wrong track, but we may be doing it kinda slowly. And so what might start as, like, little ways that our intuition is kind of trying to quietly make suggestions to us, if we're not picking up on those or we're not acting on what we are actually picking up on and we're making other choices, those things can
start to snowball into bigger and bigger issues. So for example, your body is speaking to you. Your body, through the different, um, the different aches and pains and symptoms that show up in your body, those are communication methods that the intelligence of your body... Your body is a living intelligence, and everything that is happening within your body

5
00:05:00,000 --> 00:05:08,000
is communicating to you. And so if you have a headache, for example That is communication. So a headache might be, um, a communication that you need to rest or that you're thirsty. It might be like you're dehydrated, um, that you're not getting enough nutrients and nutrition. It might be that you're listening to music too loudly or that you have too much chaos in your life and you need to s- you need to
simplify. You need to give yourself time to rest, to make space, to have quiet. All of those things can be what your headache is trying to tell you. It's something is out of balance. And I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with taking a pain reliever, but if you just take a pain reliever to mask and you just see the headache as an annoyance and a nuisance and you don't take any, any advice from that

6
00:06:00,000 --> 00:06:08,000
headache to say, "Okay, something is underlying here. What is underlying?" And you just mask it, and the headache appears again tomorrow, and you just mask it. You take the, the Tylenol or the Advil or whatever pain reliever, and you don't actually address it. Let's say that the underlying issue is dehydration. And instead of hydrating yourself and your body telling you, "Okay, we're, we're
running on empty here. We need more hydration. The gears need to be greased here. Here's a hint. A- ache, ache, ache." You know, your head hurts. Give me more water. Give your body more water. But you keep hiding the symptom and not addressing the hydration issue, then that will start affecting other things. You will start to get more symptoms. Other parts of your body that are lacking in

7
00:07:00,000 --> 00:07:08,000
that, uh, fluid that is so needed will start to create other symptoms of whether that's inflammation or pain or, um, whatever, however that expresses itself. So that's just one example of the intelligence of the body that is trying to speak to you, and it will progressively get louder. It will start as something subtle. And if you tune into the subtlety, the subtle communication, and you address it,
you know, maybe b- you know, by giving what you intuit your body as saying, you know, you may be able to, to try some different things to see and before you take the pain reliever. If the, you know, if it's not too bad and you can deal with it, you know, what, well, what happens if I give myself more hydration? What happens if I rest my eyes for 20 minutes? What happens if I give myself, you know,

8
00:08:00,000 --> 00:08:08,000
I eat a nice, healthy salad or some soup, some nourishing soup or something? How does that change what I feel? And then how does my body change its communication? So having that space and that time and the, and being willing to listen to the subtleties requires you to create some space, creating the environment to be able to pick up on the cues that your, that
your life is giving you. So I gave the example of the way that the intelligence of the body can communicate with you. But you can have your own higher self, your higher consciousness that is also communicating with you, and it will be subtle until, unless you start to get so off track that it has to start screaming at you. And so it's just better to be able to

9
00:09:00,000 --> 00:09:08,000
utilize... I think it's, it makes life easier if you're tuning into the subtleties so that you don't have to hear the loud crash in order to get the message. The way that my life really turned up the volume for me years ago was, you know, I feel that in my life, that part of my big purpose in coming here, uh, into a human experience was to h- deepen my
connection and to live from a soul perspective, and to have my spiritual experience be much more front and center. But I wasn't getting that message, and my life completely crashed around me 10 years ago, where I experienced a lot of death and illness and accidents and really major, major things happening within my family and my husband's family all at once.

10
00:10:00,000 --> 00:10:08,000
And my life just turned upside down. I, when I talk about this period of time, I, I often equate it to feeling like, um, something... Like, my life had been really solid, predictable, and it felt like suddenly I was on s- shifting sand. You know, I couldn't... I, I, I just Never knew how things were gonna change from day to day. There were just tragedies happening all the time. To me, my experience of that was
like... And that, that is what led to me developing meditation practice, and then getting deeper into s- my spirit and increasing my connection with my soul, and really coming into my purpose as I understand it. But it's like that period of my life, it was like the volume got turned way up, because I was getting the opportunity to connect with that deeper part of myself. I was getting the time for it. I was no

11
00:11:00,000 --> 00:11:08,000
longer working in the corporate environment that had me so busy. My kids were in school. I theoretically had the setup to be able to start exploring this stuff, and I wasn't doing it. I had the setup to be able to start connecting deeper to my soul, and I wasn't taking the opportunity. And to me, looking back, it's like the volume turned way up to where it just got kind
of like, you know, it, it was a last-ditch effort, it felt like, um, for me to step more into that. And so if I would have been more tuned into my, um, my intuition and the soul communication that speaks subtly at first, possibly I would not have had to go through that, what I think of now as a birth canal. You know, this really intense period that really woke me up to

12
00:12:00,000 --> 00:12:08,000
something much, much deeper and truer in my life. And so it doesn't have to be just the physical body that's communicating with us. Our whole life is a communication. And so how do we pick up on these cues and connect deeper with our soul? Again, meditation is gonna always be the first thing that I say. But beyond
meditation, it is the making quiet in your day, making space in your day, giving yourself time to do things like daydream or rest. Maybe you need to close your eyes for 10 minutes and just not necessarily meditate, but rest. Maybe you need to move your body more. You need to give yourself some time to take a walk.

13
00:13:00,000 --> 00:13:08,000
And- Or you need to be in your car driving, doing something that you need to do anyway, but without the radio on, without the audiobook on, without the podcast on, but just in quiet without necessarily that, uh, feeling that you've got to be running through your to-do list or ruminating over whatever it is that's bothering you. But
just have that stillness, that openness And try to hold that space for, for quiet and, and trying to keep that mental chatter to a minimum. And that's, again, that's where meditation helps so much because it helps you to be able to control your thoughts and to hold the, the thought that you wanna hold. Um, a really good practice is

14
00:14:00,000 --> 00:14:08,000
to get quiet and just hold one thought for... See if you can hold one thought for 20 seconds. You can even time yourself. And make it a good thought. Make it a, a nourishing thought. Make it a thought about how, um, how much you love yourself, or make it a thought where you're envisioning a future, a desired future state. Hold
it for just, like, 20 seconds, and if at any point you s- you stray, your mind strays, come back. And this is related to meditation, but this is not necessarily, like, a meditation practice. But it is a great way for you to, um, work with your thoughts, work with bringing your attention where you wanna focus it, and doing it

15
00:15:00,000 --> 00:15:08,000
more on the fly. So if you don't feel like you have time for a full meditation or you're frankly, you know, don't consider yourself a meditator, this is still a wonderful practice where you can really get to the heart of what a meditation practice can do. But you have to give yourself that space. So it's really about creating spaciousness, pockets of time throughout your day where you are
disconnecting, where you're allowing yourself to not be consuming. You're not consuming content. You're not, uh, listening to music. You don't have the TV on. You're not reading a book. You're, you're disengaged, and you're just letting yourself be. And so that might be while you're taking a walk. That might be while you're driving. And it doesn't have to be for a really long period of time or

16
00:16:00,000 --> 00:16:08,000
for a set amount of time or for a certain amount of times per day But it is giving yourself regularly this time, this openness, this time to daydream, this time to just feel into yourself, your soul, your, um, your intuition. This is how you can hear your intuition more easily, through the spaciousness. So that is my
invitation to you, is to be diligent. Don't just barrel through life allowing yourself to be distracted all the time, where every moment of your day you're, quote-unquote, productive. You know, where, "Oh, okay, well, I can take this walk, but I can l- listen to this audiobook while I do it, or I can listen to music as I do it,

17
00:17:00,000 --> 00:17:08,000
or I can, um, you know, be..." Whatever it might be. Like, allow yourself to take the walk and have the stimulation turned off so that you can tune into the sky, the sun, the trees, the animals that you might see, the birds. And just let yourself be in that stillness so that you can more readily receive these signals, whether they're coming from the intelligence of the
body, whether coming from... whether they're coming from the higher self, the higher consciousness, the higher mind, however, you know, those messages wanna come in. But give yourself the opportunity to receive those messages so that they don't have to scream at you, so that you can be there being receptive and take, take action from the, the intuitive hits that you get.
