Potent and Powerful Eclipse Energies | Between the Solar and Lunar Eclipses
A Time of Awakening, Reflection, and Synchronicity
We are in the midst of a powerful eclipse portal, bringing us a time to pause and look at everything from a different perspective. As I’m writing this, we are in the window between two eclipses. We recently experienced a total solar eclipse, and we are moving toward a lunar eclipse. For me, this particular eclipse season has felt especially potent, unusual, and full of opportunities to see beneath the surface of everyday life.
I’ve been reflecting on what has been happening in my own life and on the ways that seemingly ordinary experiences can point toward something much larger. I want to invite you to do the same.
What Is Eclipse Season?
"Eclipse season" is a period surrounding eclipses when the energetic themes associated with change, transition, revelation, and new perspectives can feel particularly pronounced. You can consider eclipses through an astrological lens, a spiritual lens, or simply as natural celestial events. However you look at them, eclipses can provide a beautiful opportunity to step back from everyday life and look at the bigger picture.
That bigger-picture perspective is something I’ve been feeling strongly lately. It's soeasy to become absorbed in our daily routines. We have responsibilities, appointments, work, family, conversations, errands, and all of the little things that make up ordinary life.
But every once in a while, it's valuable to zoom out. Imagine looking at your life from 50,000 feet above. What has been happening? What themes have been emerging? What seems to be changing? What are you being invited to see differently? Sometimes by stepping back, we recognize patterns that weren't obvious when we were simply moving through each day.
Something I've been dealing with this eclipse season has been my oldest son leaving for college. Of course, I knew this day was coming. I’ve known his entire life that eventually he would leave home and begin creating his own life. But knowing something intellectually and actually experiencing it are two very different things.
Dropping him off at college brought up so many emotions all at once. I felt incredibly proud and happy for him. I was excited that he gets to have this experience and create new opportunities for himself. And at the same time, I was sad that he was gone. I wanted him home. I wanted to keep talking to him and seeing him.
It was strange to feel so many things simultaneously, particularly feelings that seemed contradictory. And perhaps that is part of what this season has been teaching me: we don't always have to choose one emotional truth and reject another. We can be happy and sad. We can be excited and nostalgic. We can be ready for change and still wish that things could remain the same.
Sometimes expansion means allowing ourselves to hold seemingly contradictory experiences at the same time.
Reality Feeling Different
Beyond the changes in my family, I’ve also experienced a couple of days recently when reality itself felt different, which is difficult to put into words.
I was going about my normal life, but there was a very strong sense that reality wasn't quite as solid or straightforward as it usually appears. It felt almost as though there were layers beneath the surface of what we experience every day that I was tuning into consciously. I had a profound sense that there is some kind of code within reality, and that what we perceive as our physical experience is only one layer of something much larger.
It reminded me of conversations I’ve had with Franco Romero, who has described reality as a game. In that perspective, we are not passive participants in life. We are creators within the experience, and part of awakening is recognizing our own creative power.
I've heard people describe life in many different ways: as a game, a school, a prison, or a journey. Each analogy offers a different way of looking at our experience, and all have their place.
For me, during these particular couple of days, the idea of reality as a game became especially poignant.
I also felt a notable change relating to my perception of death. I’ve always understood intellectually the idea that consciousness continues beyond the physical body. But during this experience, that understanding felt much more embodied.
It felt as though the veil between physical reality and everything beyond it had become very thin. The physical body could still be seen and experienced, but there was a strong sense that the physical body isn't the entirety of who we are.
Death, in that experience, felt less like an ending and more like the dropping away of one layer of physical experience. This wasn't about wanting to die or wishing for anyone to die; completely the the opposite, actually. It was simply a deep feeling that the soul continues and that physicality is not the whole story, and that those we have experienced as having died are still very much with us, just in a different form.
Sometimes we can hold an idea as a belief, but then something happens that allows us to experience that idea in an entirely different way.
Synchronicity and the Divine Tapestry
Another theme in this eclipse window showing up strongly for me is synchronicity. I recently participated in the How Art Heals Summit, along with several other presenters. I spoke about sacred geometry, while the other speakers brought their own areas of expertise, including color therapy, frequencies, music, and other forms of creative expression.
What fascinated me was that none of us knew who else was speaking at this summit nor what they were going to talk about. And yet, as I watched the presentations unfold, it felt like a beautiful tapestry was being woven.
One person would introduce an idea, and another speaker would unexpectedly reinforce it from an entirely different perspective. Someone would talk about color and its relationship to the chakras, and another presentation would build upon that idea. A musician spoke about solfeggio tones and frequencies, and another speaker later incorporated related frequencies into a completely different conversation.
The information coming through different speakers wasn't repetitive. It was complementary! It was coherent and harmonious. And most notably, it was organic. Nobody had to force it into place.
This is something I have experienced before when hosting my own summits. There always seems to be these beautiful coincidences and synchronicities that emerge without anyone intentionally creating them. You can plan the logistics, but you can't always plan the magic.
There are moments when everything seems to align in a way that is beyond what you could have orchestrated yourself. To me, that feels like divine orchestration.
What Is Eclipse Season Showing You?
This is ultimately why I wanted to share my experiences during this eclipse season. Your experience won't look like mine. It's important to look at your own life.
What has been happening recently? Are there themes that keep appearing? Are there areas where you feel particularly challenged? Are you being stretched in a new way? Are circumstances changing that you didn't necessarily expect? Are you experiencing unusual synchronicities? Are you being invited to release an old way of seeing yourself or your life? And perhaps most importantly: where are you seeing the divine hand at work?
Sometimes we are so immersed in our daily lives that we don't recognize what is happening until we pause and look back. Eclipse season can be an opportunity to do exactly that.
So take time to reflect. We're moving through a powerful window of time; pay attention to what is unfolding in your own experience. You might even want to take out a journal and write freely about what you've noticed. Don't worry about making it make sense. Just begin putting words on the page. When we slow down enough to observe, we can begin to see the threads connecting experiences that previously seemed unrelated.
And perhaps that is one of the gifts of eclipse season: the opportunity to step outside the ordinary momentum of life and glimpse the larger tapestry being woven. You may discover that there is more happening than you realized. And you may find that what initially looked like disruption, uncertainty, or change is actually part of a much larger process of awakening.
