Years later, while spending time in nature with his brother and a friend, Greg felt a mysterious inspiration to become completely still and quiet. He walked away from the others, sat on a rock beside the river, closed his eyes, and began listening to his heartbeat.

As his heart began pausing for increasingly long periods, Greg felt himself drifting away from his physical body and moving into another realm. His experience took him through a dark corridor filled with fear and temptation before everything suddenly became light. There he encountered a beautiful being of light whose presence radiated peace, love, patience, and compassion.

When Greg told this beautiful being he wanted to be just like her, she responded with a profound statement: "You are me, and I am you."

From there, Greg was taken beyond Earth, traveling through the stars, and eventually encountering what he came to understand as God. He didn't experience God in a way he would expect. What he encountered was an immense, flowing presence that looked and moved like water. He described it as a cosmic river filled with brilliant information and wisdom. He entered into this presence and allowed the information to flow through him rather than trying to intellectually grasp it.

The Spiritual Meaning in Water

Water became one of the major themes connecting Greg's near death experience (NDE) with his subsequent work. The being he encountered, God, the sound of water, his own experience beside the river, and later his exploration of hydrogen all became pieces of a much larger picture. Greg became deeply interested in the quality of the water people consume and the processes used to purify it. He says that his research into water eventually led him to molecular hydrogen, a form of hydrogen gas dissolved in water.

Molecular hydrogen became a major focus of his research after he discovered the body of research surrounding hydrogen and its potential biological effects. He initially experimented with various hydrogen products and devices before realizing that the method of producing hydrogen was of particular importance. His research led him to Japanese hydrogen technology and to developing his own protocols involving hydrogen-rich water and hydrogen gas.

Amazingly, Greg's own heart condition resolved through his use of hydrogen water and the knowledge he received during his NDE.
