In this extraordinary episode of Soul Elevation (#638), I welcome trance channel Asara Adams for a fascinating exploration of humanity’s ascension, the New Earth, starseed origins, and our connection to galactic civilizations.

Asara shares her remarkable spiritual journey, beginning with a near-death experience at just 14 years old and continuing through an extraordinary extraterrestrial encounter that changed the course of her life.

Then, Asara enters a trance state and brings through Etara, the Pleiadian-Sirian-Arcturian Council of Light, for a direct conversation about humanity’s spiritual evolution.

We explore some of the biggest questions facing spiritually awakened people today. Are we truly progressing toward a higher-dimensional reality? Why do so many lightworkers experience a dark night of the soul? What happens when people we love are not awakening alongside us? And what does it mean that Earth has supposedly been under a galactic quarantine?

The answers offer a fascinating perspective on consciousness, free will, and our individual roles in creating the New Earth.

From a Near-Death Experience to Galactic Channeling

Asara Adams is an international speaker and trance channel for Etara. She is also known for her online spiritual community, The Galactic Bridge.

Her spiritual journey began long before she became a channel. At age 14, Asara experienced a traumatic near death experience involving being drowned when a boy from her school held her underwater in a swimming pool. As she struggled to breathe, everything went dark. Then she experienced an extraordinary light and an overwhelming sense of peace. She was surrounded by loving angelic beings and received a powerful message about surrendering struggle.

One of the most profound aspects of her NDE was the compassion she developed for the boy who had harmed her. Rather than carrying hatred, she came to understand the pain he was experiencing in his own life. Years later, when he apologized, she was able to forgive him. This experience instilled in her a deep trust in Source and fundamentally changed her relationship with fear, struggle, and the spiritual dimensions of existence.

An Extraordinary Extraterrestrial Encounter in 2005

Years later, Asara experienced another event that would transform her spiritual path. In 2005, four ET beings appeared physically in her room. Although initially terrified, she receiving an overwhelming feeling of unconditional love from one of the beings as he looked into her eyes.

Through a psychic she had been working with, she learned that these beings were offering to prepare her to channel a galactic collective, and she accepted.

She underwent three energetic preparation sessions, during which the beings helped clear energetic programming and unresolved trauma to prepare her for trance channeling. Her journey eventually led her to move to Mount Shasta, where she saw UFOs for herself and even organized group experiences involving UFO and starship sightings. More in this clip:

The Etara Collective

The collective known as Etara generally consists of eight to twelve beings, with individual members sometimes speaking through her and other times communicating as a unified consciousness.

During our conversation, Etara describes its existence primarily within the ninth dimension, where consciousness is not limited by the same physical structures and experiences we associate with life on Earth. The collective describes itself as aspects of humanity from the future, returning to assist us during this period of spiritual evolution. This suggests an entirely different way of thinking about time, consciousness, and our relationship with galactic beings.

As we navigate 2026, so much of what is happening in the world can feel overwhelming. Darkness seems increasingly visible, and many spiritually aware people are wondering whether humanity is truly progressing. I asked Etara directly how our ascension looks from their perspective. Their response was surprisingly encouraging. They say humanity is progressing through a pivotal stage of spiritual evolution. The choas and darkness we are witnessing is the exposure of structures and patterns that must become visible before they can be transformed. From this perspective, humanity cannot consciously choose something different until it recognizes what it no longer wishes to experience.

Etara says that consciousness itself is a powerful creative force and that individuals have more influence over their experience than they may realize. They use a computer game as a metaphor for our reality.

Imagine entering a room within a game. Your computer renders the room you are currently experiencing. When you open a door and enter another room, the next environment appears, and the room you leave is no longer rendered.

Etara says this is a simplified description of how our consciousness participates in the experience of reality. If we find ourselves in a dark room, we can choose to turn on the light. Turning on the light means reconnecting with Source, shifting our awareness, and consciously choosing the next experience we wish to create. It’s not to ignore the difficulties of the world, but to consider where we are directing our consciousness and how much power we are giving to experiences we don’t want to perpetuate. The invitation is to become more intentional about what we are creating.

Are There Two Earths? Understanding the New Earth Timeline

A popular concept within ascension teachings is the idea of two Earths: one of a higher-dimensional reality and another continuing through a denser, more material experience. I wanted to know whether humanity would collectively experience ascension or whether different groups would move into separate realities.

Etara offered an interesting alternative. They say that it’s not two distinct experiences, but billions of individual experiences of reality. Each person is moving through their own spiritual evolution according to their unique soul journey. The New Earth is not something that humanity must reach by a specific deadline. It is already available as a state of consciousness characterized by greater peace, love, abundance, creativity, and connection with Source.

Some are already experiencing aspects of this reality, while others continue moving through experiences that support their own spiritual growth.

The Dark Night of the Soul: Why Spiritual Awakening Can Feel So Difficult

Many people who are deeply committed to spiritual development eventually experience periods when everything seems to fall apart. You may question your purpose, your beliefs, or whether you are making any meaningful progress. You might feel isolated from people who do not understand your spiritual experiences. Sometimes, the very path that once brought you tremendous clarity begins to feel uncertain.

I asked Etara why this experience seems to be such a common part of spiritual awakening. They compared our authentic spiritual essence as the center of an onion. Surrounding that center are layers accumulated through our human experiences, including beliefs, conditioning, trauma, and programming. These layers can obscure our natural connection with Source.

The dark night of the soul can occur when circumstances begin breaking apart these accumulated layers. Although the process feels uncomfortable, its spiritual purpose is to help us reconnect with our authentic essence.

They also discuss the human tendency to maintain familiar circumstances, even when we desire something different. We may consciously want expansion while another part of us resists the changes necessary to experience it. The dark night of the soul can bring these competing forces into awareness.

Etara's guidance for navigating this process is to strengthen our connection with Source. Rather than becoming consumed by the struggle itself, we can use challenging experiences as invitations to return to our spiritual center.

This relates to Asara's earlier sharing of her near-death experience, where she received a profound message about releasing struggle. There is a beautiful thread connecting these two parts of the conversation.

Spiritual Discernment: Can Lightworkers Become Blind to Darkness?

I also wanted to explore a more challenging question. Within spiritual communities, there can sometimes be a tendency to focus so exclusively on love and light that we overlook our own shadows, which can then move into the driver’s seat without the person being able to see that is what’s happening.

What happens when someone believes they are acting from divine guidance but is actually being influenced by ego, power, or personal ambition? How do we distinguish between genuine spiritual purpose and our desire to feel important or successful?

I brought up the possibility of spiritual leaders beginning with positive intentions but gradually becoming disconnected from their original purpose. Etara emphasized the importance of free will and each soul's unique experiences. They said that we cannot make another person's spiritual choices for them, even when we believe they are moving in an unhealthy direction.

We can remain present, offer support, and choose to create distance when appropriate.

It’s important for all of us on a spiritual path to be willing to look in the mirror and ask ourselves if we are acting from genuine alignment with Source, or are we trying to force an outcome because of what it would mean for our identity and ego?

Life in the Ninth Dimension: What Is Galactic Consciousness Like?

I was also curious to learn what it’s like to be in the 9th dimension, where Etara says consciousness operates beyond many of the physical limitations of humanity.

They are able to shift between dimensions and densities, sometimes taking on forms or utilizing spacecraft. Ships are operated through consciousness rather than conventional physical controls. They travel between our galaxy and Andromeda and assist other civilizations with their spiritual development.

They mentioned almost in passing that Earth is in a galactic quarantine. They said humanity had been in an extended experience of separation from Source. This experiment in separation became increasingly dense, eventually requiring assistance from angelic and galactic civilizations.

Earth has been energetically isolated because human consciousness affects the broader universe. As humanity's collective consciousness evolves, this quarantine is gradually being lifted. They connected this to the spiritual influence of Yeshua, or Jesus, and other individuals whose awakenings contributed to humanity's transformation.

The important point here is that Earth's ascension is not only about our own individual spiritual growth. Humanity's gradual reintegration into a much larger galactic community is also at hand.

What Does Humanity’s Ascension Mean for You?

Etara kept coming back to the understanding that we each have free will. We can choose where to direct our attention, how to respond to challenging experiences, and whether to deepen our connection with Source. We can also choose to honor the journeys of others without trying to control their spiritual development.

This is a reminder that spiritual awakening is not about reaching a finish line or proving that we have attained a particular level of consciousness. It’s an ongoing process of remembering who we are and learning to embody that awareness in everyday life.

And perhaps the most important question is not whether the New Earth will eventually arrive, but how we can begin embodying the qualities of the New Earth in our lives right now. How can we cultivate greater peace? How can we become more loving? How can we recognize when we are operating from fear rather than our connection with Source?
