What is Multidimensionality, and How Does It Apply to You?
Living as Multidimensional Beings
In episode 470 of Soul Elevation, I explore a topic that comes up often on the spiritual path: multidimensionality.
This word gets thrown around a lot in spiritual communities, but what does it really mean? And how does it relate to our everyday lives? Different teachers will tell you different numbers—some say there are 7 dimensions, others 12, 24, or even infinite. Add to that the fact that “dimension” and “density” often get used interchangeably, and it can feel confusing fast.
I want to keep it simple and practical here: what does it actually mean to live as multidimensional beings?
More Than Meets the Eye
At its core, multidimensionality means there is far more to reality than we can perceive with our senses.
Our eyes only see a tiny fraction of the light spectrum, yet we know x-rays, gamma rays, and microwaves exist. Our ears only hear a narrow range of sound, but dogs, bats, and dolphins use frequencies we can’t detect. These invisible energies are everywhere, constantly interacting with us.
Just because we don’t perceive them doesn’t mean they’re not real.
Understanding Dimensions Through Perspective
One of my guests, Cynthia Sue Larson, gave a beautiful illustration of this. She used a piece of paper to represent one perspective and a pen piercing through the paper as another. From the “paper” point of view, you’d only see a limited slice of the pen as it passes through—but the pen is much more than what the paper can register.
That’s what multidimensionality is like. We’re perceiving only a portion of greater realities. The unseen layers are just as real, even if our biology prevents us from perceiving them directly.
Light as a Bridge Between Dimensions
In a recent interview with Rob Gauthier, a world-renowned channeler, I learned something fascinating: in his guides’ teachings, light is the “heaviest” form of energy in their dimension, while for us it’s the “lightest.”
This suggests that light may act as an intermediary between realms, flowing across multiple dimensions. What appears to us as the pinnacle of energy is, for them, just the baseline. That perspective completely shifts how I think about sightings of orbs, angels, and other phenomena. We may only be catching glimpses of beings whose full reality exists beyond our visible range.
Multidimensional Life Beyond Earth
This naturally connects to the question of extraterrestrial life. Many skeptics argue that since we haven’t “found” life with our instruments, it must not exist. But our instruments are designed to detect life as we know it—physical, carbon-based, inhabiting worlds like ours.
If beings exist in higher dimensions with less density, they may not need water, vegetation, or even physical form. No wonder NASA hasn’t spotted them. Our frame of reference is too narrow. Yet contact experiences, government disclosures, and countless personal stories point toward a much bigger reality than mainstream science acknowledges.
Multidimensionality Is Here and Now
It’s important to remember: multidimensionality isn’t “out there”—it’s right here.
Even in the space between me and my computer camera, invisible waves are buzzing—wifi, radio, subatomic particles, and more. Reality is teeming with energy we can’t see. In the same way, the souls of our loved ones who have crossed over aren’t in some far-off “heaven.” They’re present with us, accessible through expanded perception.
Many mediums and spiritual teachers, like Julie Conrad and Suzanne Giesemann, bring back profound evidence of this. These dimensions aren’t separate places; they’re layers of reality interwoven with our own.
Bringing It Back to Our Awakening
For me, multidimensionality isn’t just a concept—it’s an invitation. It calls us to expand our awareness beyond the limits of our five senses and lean into our psychic senses, intuition, and spiritual connection.
When we recognize ourselves as multidimensional beings, we open to a reality that is infinitely richer and more connected. It reframes our relationship with spirit, with extraterrestrial contact, and with our own soul journey.

Multidimensionality reminds us that reality is so much bigger than what we see. We are spiritual beings living in a vast, layered universe, intimately connected to dimensions beyond our perception. When we expand our awareness, we begin to glimpse the fullness of who we truly are.
