In episode 509 of Soul Elevation, I explored a simple yet powerful manifestation practice that you can begin using right away. It centers around holding your intention for just 17 seconds, an amount of time that appears to activate the quantum field in measurable ways.

I first came across this idea through a short video that mentioned how holding your focus for 17 seconds allows your intention to begin attracting energy. It instantly caught my attention because it offers a low-effort and accessible way to create change in our lives. You don’t need a complicated ceremony, long meditation, or perfect visualization skills. You only need presence, focus, and a willingness to hold your desired reality in consciousness for a few seconds.

Manifestation is often misunderstood or dismissed as something overly mystical, but in truth it is a neutral process that we all use every day. It is as simple as aligning your inner energy with the experience you wish to create. Some people might call it prayer, creation, or intention. Every tradition has language for this principle.

At its core, manifestation is empowering! It reminds us that we are active participants in the unfolding of our lives. Whether you are seeking healing, abundance, harmony, or peace, it all begins with a clear and sustained focus.

How to Practice the 17-Second Technique

Here is the practice that I have been using and loving:

  1. Choose your intention. It could be healing, success, clarity, or anything that feels aligned.
  2. Bring your awareness to your third eye or slightly in front of it. Visualize or sense your desired state existing there.
  3. Hold that focus for 17 seconds. During that time, feel as though it is already complete.
  4. If you are more auditory than visual, repeat a phrase that affirms your intention, such as “I am in perfect health” or “I am surrounded by abundance.”
  5. Feel it, believe it, and let the energy build.

While you hold that focus, imagine photonic light gathering around your intention. Photons are tiny packets of light energy, and in the quantum field like attracts like. When you sustain your focus, the universe naturally organizes energy around that vibration.

One key element is to express your intention in positive language. Instead of saying “I don’t want to be sick,” affirm “I am in perfect health.” Our brains respond directly to our words, so the energy of your statement should match the outcome you desire.

When you hold your focus on wellness, abundance, or love, you invite those same frequencies into your field. The quantum responds to coherence and clarity.

I like to use this practice in everyday moments rather than only in formal meditation. When I take a walk, I have been beginning the first few minutes by holding an intention. I visualize a loved one thriving or picture a goal already fulfilled. I also use it while doing dishes or winding down before bed.

Because the process takes so little time, it becomes easy to weave intention into the flow of daily life. The more often you do it, the more you begin to sense the universe responding in subtle and tangible ways.

I have been reading Gregg Braden’s The Divine Matrix, which beautifully explains how our thoughts interact with the quantum field. He discusses experiments showing that observation and expectation can even influence the past, suggesting that time itself is more fluid than we imagine.

This opens extraordinary possibilities for transformation. Our present focus can re-pattern the energy of our past and shape the probabilities of our future. We truly are limitless creators.

We each hold an innate ability to design our experience. The 17-second intention technique is a reminder that manifestation is not about striving or control. It is about allowing the frequency of your desired reality to take form through your conscious attention.
