Speaker: Hello and welcome to the Soul Elevation Podcast, guiding your ascension to new heights. I'm your host, Kara Goodwin, and I'm excited to be with you today. Thank you for joining. I have been reading, well, I finished reading a book by the amazing Cynthia Sue Larson, who I've had on the podcast before. We talked about the Mandela Effect, and she wrote a book.
About the Mandela Effect and its society, and that's an amazing conversation. I'll try to remember to put a link to that in the show notes when I finish recording. But this book that I was reading, she's written a few amazing books, and this one was called [00:01:00] Shifting Reality. A Reality Shifting. I think it was Shifting Reality.
And this book was very activating for one thing. So I, if you're interested in the concept of reality shifting and the actual act of reality shifting, meaning you go from one reality, even in the physical world, where maybe you've prepared. So there are these examples where they were always. I think there were a couple of different ones around sausages for some reason.
And like they'd been cut up and her friend was cooking these sausages and then just like three of them disappeared and they were looking everywhere. Like did they not go in the pan? Are they around the pan somewhere? And then they just reappeared like literally out of thin air. Um, so there's that, that kind of reality shifting.
But then, um, also just, you know, things that aren't as physical, but you know. Um, now I can't think of a great example, but there are these. [00:02:00] Concrete things still in line with the Mandela Effect, which is more on the collective scale of historical events that people remember differently. Um, or a lot of branding things.
That's the Mandela effect. Where, um, like gif, peanut butter, you know, a lot of people my age remember that being called Jiffy. When we were growing up, but apparently it never was called Jiffy and the Fruit of the Loom logo having fruit in the cornucopia. And apparently now it never had fruit. And there are a lot of people who distinctly have distinct memories of seeing that branding with fruit.
Um, and so. There are a lot of things like that where it's like, no, I remember it, but, so this book, reality Shifts is not on the Man Mandela effect so much, but it's, they're very similar topics where it's like reality just changing right in front of you. And then what does that say about the power that we have?[00:03:00]
Um, so when I say that I found this book activating. I mean that as I was reading it and then even when I wasn't in the process of reading it, but I was just going about my day, it felt like the energy just built up and I could feel a newness, I could feel that, um, my reality, like I was shifting into a slightly different.
Version of reality. I had a lot of synchronicities that went with these feelings, so that was really amazing. So I do recommend the book Reality Shifts by Cynthia Sue Larson and I get to, um, interview her again in a couple of weeks. So I'm excited about that, but I. The reason I bring up this book is because there's a part of it where she talks about when she was little, she used to think that people could hear her thoughts.
And so she, um, this [00:04:00] informed how she behaved because she, and, and it informed her thoughts, and I, I think she was saying that because she could kind of pick up on what people were thinking. She just figured that everybody else could pick up on what she was thinking. And it wasn't until she got a little bit older that she realized like, oh wait, my thoughts are separate, you know, that people aren't, feel, aren't hearing my thoughts.
So, um, but she always was kind of careful with what she thought. And because she thought that pe because she thought it was the same as speaking it. And we, we are careful about what we say, right? We wanna take in, we wanna speak the truth, but we also wanna take into account somebody's feelings. And so we have filters between what we say and what we think, what we think and what we say.
And again, that doesn't mean that we distort. What we're thinking, you know what we're saying and it [00:05:00] doesn't actually match what we're thinking, but we, we navigate the water so that we can say what is true without necessarily trying to trigger somebody. But it's interesting to think what if people could hear our thoughts?
And actually on a certain level, we are all communicating to each other through our energy. And so it may not be that I necessarily can hear your thoughts like word for word. Like if you're looking at me and you're, you know, judging my shirt, I may not necessarily be able to, um, pick up on that specific, you know, like, oh, she doesn't like my shirt.
Maybe I could, but, um. But I can feel that there is something, you know, that we're not connecting. I mean, there's some sort of, um, there's some sort of [00:06:00] interference in our thought patterns where they're not really matching up. And so this happens at a very, very subtle level. It happens at the. Subconscious level, the unconscious level, but we are always communicating to each other.
And so it is like on another level, people can hear our thoughts. And so it does beg the question, do we need to be careful about what we think? Let's take it another step, another layer deeper. You. Can hear your own thoughts. You are picking up on your own thoughts. Your body is picking up on the thoughts that you think, and your body is responding to the thoughts that you think your mind is responding to, the thoughts that you entertain.
So if your thoughts, if not, if you're not even speaking it, but you're thinking it and you're thinking things about yourself. Are not aligned with the highest truth of the [00:07:00] beautiful spirit that you really are. I mean, that is the highest truth that you are this vessel for, this amazing consciousness that you are, this eternal consciousness that you are that.
Is the truth. And you come into this body to have experiences and you're gonna make mistakes. And it's not gonna be like always a smooth sailing thing. You're gonna learn as you go. I still make mistakes a lot. I've made a lot of mistakes lately. Um, it's, I'm just like. I need to pay more attention. I'm going through a phase right now where like these details are, um, kind of passing by me, and then I, I get to a, an event or a, a point in time and I'm like, oh, I should have looked more carefully at that invitation or at that, you know, those directions or, you know, and, and so that's something that I'm navigating right now because I'm making a lot of [00:08:00] mistakes and I'm just noticing I'm making a lot of mistakes.
And, um, and then I. I think about what is, what is the gift here for me? What's the message? And I, you know, maybe the message is as simple as you're not perfect. Let this stuff go. You know, be like water, let the mistake happen and drop it and just keep going. Um, but anyway. You are not gonna be perfect. So the more you latch on to mistakes that you've made in your past, guilt that you have, shame that you have and you hold onto that, that's the story that you're telling yourself.
That's what you're telling your psyche. You're programming reprogramming over and over into yourself that you're not worthy or that you are, uh, lesser than, or anything That is not the truth. So you are in this distortion. You are out of alignment. And then you might [00:09:00] be fighting with your body. You might be, um, you know, you, you might be having issues within your body.
You may be having hormonal things or disease, um, illness. You may have an injury and you, what are you telling yourself about that, you know, that. You are clumsy, that you're stupid, that if you were a higher vibration, you wouldn't ever have illness or whatever it is that you're telling yourself. Again, you're listening, so I.
Tell yourself the highest truth. Get those thoughts, catch those thoughts when they happen because you are listening to yourself. You owe it to yourself to be in that full alignment with the highest truth, and your body is gonna respond if you're feeding it. These thoughts, these lower thoughts, your body will respond in kind 'cause it's listening to you, you're [00:10:00] programming it, you're telling it that it's.
Ill not worthy, whatever it might be. But also we are communicating to each other on a subconscious slash unconscious level. So be mindful about the thoughts that you think and, you know, let kindness and acceptance radiate from you and to your brothers and sisters and. To, you know, to the world give. Give that gift to people.
Be that light. And let your thoughts, even if the words don't pass your lips, let your thoughts radiate that higher truth of love and acceptance and compassion and forgiveness. And why not take it a step further and let the words pass through your lips and lift other people up. So that's my suggestion for today.
Is that you really pay attention to [00:11:00] your thoughts. You, you catch those thoughts, you engage with your thoughts as though everybody else can hear them, and you allow that to help you to reprogram your reality so that you can have a higher and more divine experience in your life.
