Sacred Geometry, Dark Room Awakening & Subtle Body Mastery - Igor Galibov
In episode 529, light and shadow are woven into a single thread. My conversation with Igor Galibov felt like a kind of tapestry. Igor is the founder of Alignment of Light. After a sudden and dramatic awakening in 2004, he spent years learning how to live with expanded perception, then distilled what he learned into accessible practices for ordinary life.
Igor’s story begins in Brazil. He visited the Casa of John of God with family, as a skeptic from the finance world who did not consider himself spiritual. What happened next shattered his frame of reference. He describes receiving a visible intervention that left him experiencing waves of energy, heightened sensitivity, and what he could only call expanded sight and feeling.
He recalls stepping out for coffee and suddenly sensing the heartbeat of a cow from several feet away. He describes seeing light moving through a pregnant woman’s belly while standing in a line. The world became permeable, alive with currents and intelligences. Airports felt overwhelming. Crowds were a flood of sensation. Without a roadmap, he withdrew for several years to study his own inner landscape. Hear him describe this in this clip:
We also acknowledged the public controversy around John of God, including the serious allegations and widely circulated footage. My aim was to hold a responsible container for the topic. Igor spoke from his lived experience and chose to keep the focus on the transformation that followed and the tools he teaches today. Remember that with any spiritual leader you encounter, your discernment is essential.
A major theme in our talk is that subtle anatomy is not abstract. It is the living blueprint from which the physical body condenses. Igor describes the emotional and mental bodies as structured fields with their own energy centers. When those fields are chaotic, the physical experience follows suit. When those fields stabilize, choices get cleaner, relationships soften, and life becomes workable.
“The heart is the bridge,” Igor said. “It is not sentiment. It is the coherence field that lets higher guidance land without distortion.”
This is not about bypassing. He emphasized the cycle many of us know well. We rise into a peak state, then we fall back into old patterns. The work is learning how to rebuild foundation after each peak, so the next ascent rests on stronger ground.
What happens in dark room practice
I was especially curious about Igor’s dark room retreats. No light, several days, simple meals. He described how removing visual input changes the endocrine system. The pineal and pituitary begin to synchronize. The glandular system cleans itself out. At a certain point, the pineal produces an inner light, and vision turns inward. Sleep and waking feel porous. Time loses its edges. Unresolved content from one’s history surfaces to be met and metabolized.
He also spoke about the third day as a threshold. Old fear patterns may surge. The practice is to stay with the heart, breathe, and let the nervous system reorganize around presence. This is not a stunt. It is a mature container for purification and insight, and it should be approached with care and proper guidance.
If you have come across much of my content, you know I am very interested in sacred geometry. We geeked out together on Metatron’s Cube, the icosahedron, and how a soft gaze on two-dimensional forms can open perceptual depth, sometimes revealing three-dimensional pathways that seem to move on their own.
Igor framed geometry as a language that speaks to the subconscious. The lines and intersections are not decorative. They are “ley lines” in the field that can be coherent or distorted depending on emotion, memory, and belief. When we relax the eyes and breathe into the heart while gazing, geometry can gently repattern attention and help energy flow where it has been kinked.
He also offered a mystical lens on what he called the cloak of Metatron in the Hebrew stream, a harmonizing pattern that reminds the human field of its original wholeness. Whether that is familiar to you or not, the practical invitation is the same. Let geometry train your attention toward stillness and coherence.
Masculine, feminine, and the heart
We explored the dance of masculine and feminine currents. Not gender, but polarity, wisdom and nurture, clarity and compassion. In Igor’s map, the solar plexus and heart must learn to work together. Power without love hardens. Love without clarity gets lost. The heart teaches the mind to loosen its grip and see with kindness. The mind gives language and structure so love can act in the world.
Igor’s teaching is simple at the core. Consistent daily practice. Breath that drops below the navel. Heart-led awareness. Geometry as a focus. Short, repeatable sessions that stabilize the field. He runs a Master Thyself program, guides free weekly meditations on Tuesdays at 11 am Eastern, and leads retreats and pilgrimages where context and practice can deepen.
