Remembering Who You Truly Are | Integration, Shadow Work & Soul Ascension

Listen or watch

In episode 473 of Soul Elevation, I talk about something deeply personal and also universally relevant: remembering who you are.

When we hear that phrase, it can sound mystical—maybe about recalling a past life, remembering our galactic origins, or connecting with our higher self. And those dimensions of remembrance are real and powerful. But I believe that in this human lifetime, the deeper invitation is to become whole at the human level.

Remember = Re-Member

During the Galactics Summit the previous weekend, Mina the Andromedan, said something simple yet profound: “Remember.”

It reminded me of Neale Donald Walsch’s Conversations with God, where he broke down that word: re-member. To remember who we are is to gather the scattered members of ourselves—the fractured, hidden, or rejected parts—and bring them back into wholeness.

Throughout life, trauma, pain, and ego can cause us to fragment. We bury memories. We disown feelings. We exile parts of ourselves into shadow. The spiritual path is not about bypassing those parts but about reintegrating them.

Shadow and Ascension

Shadow work has been a huge theme in my own life this year. At the Summit, Toni Ghazi also spoke about how his shadow has been surfacing. And in recent episodes of Soul Elevation I’ve shared how the shadow has come forward for me too.

If we want to move into higher consciousness, into fifth-dimensional 5D awareness and beyond, we cannot ignore what lies in shadow. Ascension requires wholeness. We don’t get to skip over the parts of ourselves we would rather not see.

For me that has meant facing painful memories, uncomfortable emotions, and aspects of myself I would rather deny. Recently, jealousy surfaced. I didn’t want to admit it. But when I acknowledged it honestly, I could begin to transform it.

That’s the alchemy of shadow work: naming the truth, accepting it with compassion, and allowing it to dissolve into light.

A Personal Example

Just a few days ago I felt hurt and left out in a certain situation. At first, I wanted to brush it off, to tell myself it was no big deal. But when I looked deeper, I realized jealousy was at the root.

It wasn’t easy to admit, yet once I named it, I saw how part of me wanted to amplify that story. I could have leaned into victimhood and convinced myself I was wronged. Another part of me knew the higher truth. The people involved weren’t intentionally hurting me, they were simply overwhelmed.

By holding onto the higher truth, I could release the distortion. I could remember the person I truly want to be—the one others can trust, who doesn’t hold guilt over them when circumstances shift.

This process of recognizing distortion, naming the shadow, and aligning with higher truth is how we keep remembering who we truly are.

Inviting God and Higher Guidance

I don’t do this work alone. I bring my struggles to God, to my higher self, and sometimes to ascended masters like Yeshua or Buddha. I ask for help:

“Help me alchemize this jealousy. Help me integrate the parts of me I resist. Help me dissolve what no longer serves so I can step more fully into who I truly am.”

We all have access to that kind of divine partnership. And sometimes, depending on what we’re carrying, we may need the support of a trusted therapist, healer, or shaman. There’s no shame in seeking help.

Remembering Is an Ongoing Process

This is not a one-time event. Life keeps happening. New experiences surface old wounds. New challenges trigger hidden patterns. Each time we have another opportunity to re-member, to call back the scattered pieces and return to wholeness.

This is the real heart of ascension. It’s not about escaping the human, but embracing the fullness of it.
