How to Find Unhealed Wounds & Ascend

I’ve come to realize that triggers are some of our greatest spiritual teachers.
In Episode 451 of the Soul Elevation Podcast, I dive into how triggers point us directly to our unhealed wounds, and why healing those wounds is essential if we want to spiritually ascend. Without addressing the emotional and energetic imprints we carry, our spiritual progress can feel stuck or fragmented. But when we bring compassion and awareness to those sensitive places within us, true elevation begins.
What Triggers Really Are
Recently, I was listening to a book by Lee Harris and Regina Meredith, and something struck me in a whole new way: they shared that a trigger is evidence of an unhealed wound, and until we heal it, we won’t have a natural barrier against being emotionally affected by that issue.
That insight changed the way I look at triggers. Instead of seeing them as nuisances or emotional outbursts to suppress or justify, I started seeing them as guides, reminders that healing is still unfolding within me.
The Mirror of Consciousness
I’ve had visions that confirmed this idea in a multidimensional way. In meditation, I saw a loved one not as a person with a body, but as a moving, living kaleidoscope of mirrors. Everything I thought I saw in her was actually a reflection of myself. Judgment, frustration, admiration—it was all me, mirrored back through her.
This is the essence of shadow work: recognizing that what we experience in others is often a reflection of our own unconscious patterns. That insight is one of the core themes I explore in my upcoming book, Your Authentic Awakening.
Triggers Show You Where the Healing Work Is
When we feel emotionally charged by a situation or another person, it’s not just random, it’s energetic. From an energetic standpoint, a trigger shows us where our energy field has a gap or a vulnerability. Just like a wound on our skin is more sensitive and needs protection, an energetic wound needs conscious care and healing.
Without awareness, these gaps become magnets for further hurt, judgment, and emotional chaos. But when we pause and ask, “What is this showing me about myself?”, we begin to take back our power.
How to Begin Healing Your Wounds
Not every wound requires professional therapy, but some absolutely do—especially if trauma is involved. Whether you’re working with a guide or doing deep reflection on your own, the healing process usually includes:
-
Awareness – Recognizing the emotion and tracing it back to its root.
-
Acceptance – Allowing yourself to feel it without judgment.
-
Forgiveness – For others, and especially for yourself.
I won’t pretend it’s easy. This is sacred, brave work. But if you’re serious about spiritual ascension, this inner work is non-negotiable. Without healing, ascension is blocked. With healing, it becomes a natural unfolding.
From Pain to Power
One of the most empowering shifts is moving from victim consciousness to empowered observer. Instead of blaming others for how they make us feel, we ask: Why did this affect me so deeply? What’s still raw? What wants my love and attention?
This isn’t about excusing bad behavior. Others will always have their own healing to do. But this work is about becoming sovereign over our own emotional world.
Ascension Happens Through Healing
Spiritual growth is not just about meditation, channeling, or receiving light codes—it’s about integration. It's about finding the courage to face ourselves with honesty and grace, even when it’s uncomfortable. Because every layer of healing brings us more into alignment with our highest version of self.
