Critical Thinking & Open Discourse in a Controlled World

Critical Thinking & Open Discourse in a Controlled World

Listen or watch

Episode 490 of Soul Elevation felt especially important to share because of what I have been witnessing lately in our collective behavior. Many of us are quick to shut down conversations, label ideas as wrong or crazy, and hand over our discernment to external voices such as technology, media, or even spiritual teachers.

The Disappearing Art of Thinking for Ourselves

We live in an age where information is abundant, but independent thought is becoming rare.
I see it happening in subtle ways: censorship on social media, people being de-platformed, and self-censorship born from fear of ridicule or rejection. Beyond that, there is a growing dependence on AI to tell us what to think. AI can be an incredible tool, and I use it too, but it is not a replacement for our own consciousness.

When we say “just tell me what to think,” we begin to outsource the critical faculties that allow us to evolve both spiritually and intellectually. This is where discernment becomes sacred.

How Censorship Becomes Spiritual

We often think of censorship as a political issue, but I believe it is also a spiritual one.
When certain voices or ideas are removed from the conversation, we lose diversity of thought, and diversity is vital to evolution. The universe thrives on variety and contrast. If we silence everything that challenges our current beliefs, we stop growing.

As I mentioned in the livestream, I found myself self-policing my words as I spoke. I realized that fear of punishment or misunderstanding is shaping how we communicate. That fear is part of the same mechanism that limits us as a collective. When we self-censor, we disconnect from authenticity.

A Thought Experiment

Imagine, purely as a hypothetical, that there are powerful forces behind major systems such as banking, media, medicine, and technology. Imagine that they influence what narratives are promoted and what gets buried.

If that were the case, the real battle would not be for land or resources. It would be for perception. Controlling perception means controlling belief, and controlling belief means controlling behavior. That would make discernment, curiosity, and open dialogue some of the most revolutionary acts we can perform.

The War on Perception

This is not about paranoia. It is about awareness. The true spiritual war is energetic and psychological. It plays out every time we choose between judgment and curiosity, between fear and openness. When we label or ostracize those who think differently, we become instruments of division rather than agents of light.

The invitation is to reclaim our spiritual sovereignty. Stay open, discerning, and compassionate. We do not have to agree with every voice, but we do need to listen long enough to understand. Only then can unity rise above polarization.

Building Spiritual Maturity

Spiritual maturity is knowing who you are so deeply that someone else’s opinion does not shake you.
It is being able to hold a conversation with someone who thinks differently without needing to convince or condemn. This level of inner stability allows us to become light-bearers in a time of confusion.

In the episode, I invite you to notice your own reactions. When something triggers you or feels too far out there, ask yourself: Am I reacting from truth or from programming?

True awakening means stepping out of the echo chamber of confirmation bias and walking courageously into the unknown with curiosity, not fear.

Discernment is sacred. Do not outsource your thinking, even to technology.
Censorship affects consciousness. When dialogue closes, evolution slows.
Self-awareness builds sovereignty. Notice where you silence yourself.
Unity begins in curiosity. Listen without judgment and seek to understand.
Spiritual maturity is inner freedom. It is knowing who you are beyond the narrative.
