Beatty Carmichael
Speaker: [00:00:00] welcome to soul elevation, guiding your ascension to new heights. I'm your host, Kara Goodwin. And let me assure you that you have found the right episode for you to listen to right now. I loved what Beatty Carmichael shared about how to pray effectively for healing. And as we get toward the end of this episode, you'll hear me using his process on my neck pain.
We got this pain I've been having in my neck for two weeks down to a one, a level one while we were recording.
I kind of can't believe how fast that worked. And I've been utilizing many different things to try to move this pain out over the last couple of weeks. So stay tuned so you can learn about the prayer doctors methods and how you can utilize this for yourself.
You'll hear Beatty talk about how he comes from a long lineage of [00:01:00] seven generations of medical doctors, and yet his path took a different turn, one that blends science with the supernatural. While he never pursued medicine himself, he applied a scientific approach to understanding how spiritual laws impact healing, leading him to become what?
What one might call a prayer doctor bringing healing through prayer instead of medicine through years of dedicated practice, he's developed a unique four step prayer method that's been shown to move God to supernaturally intervene around 87 percent of the time
migraines, relationship conflicts, anxiety, trauma, addictions, and more. Helping over 700 people experience complete and lasting freedom, often in as little as 12 minutes. He shares his step by step approach in the book, the prayer of freedom, revealing how anyone [00:02:00] can unlock this incredible power, and I'll put the link to the book in the show notes.
I think I'm going to purchase this book because I am just blown away by Beatty.
So we'll begin the episode in just a moment, but really quickly. First, my book, your authentic awakening, a guide to everyday spiritual living is out now. I have it here. Isn't it so beautiful? kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Well, welcome Beatty. I'm so excited to have you here today and to talk about prayer.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Yes. [00:03:00] Well, I am excited to be here. Prayer is a very important part of my life and, um, I've seen some amazing things happen with, through it.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: wait to hear about it. Let's talk about your background and how you came to be a prayer doctor.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Well, you know, the prayer doctors, I, I, I created that moniker almost out of tongue in cheek, but it really actually has some, um, validity to it. So my background's real interesting. I actually come from a line of seven generations of medical doctors. So going back over 200 years in that age of medicine, not today's age, but that age of medicine, all the doctors were scientists because they kept, um, trying to understand the human body and try and test and test different things to help heal people. And so their whole focus was healing through the science of medicine. And I never went into medicine. I, um, I like to travel. And my dad never traveled. He was [00:04:00] a, uh, uh, critical care surgeon. And so when he was needed, it was like life and death. So he was working 80 on average, sometimes 100 hours a week. And he could never travel because he was always had to be at the hospital. So I ended up going into business. And, uh, have a small business helping real estate agents get listings. It's called Agent Dominator. about nine years ago, uh, I've always had a real keen interest in prayer and I've always had a real heart to help others. And about nine years ago, the Lord started moving me into praying for people. To create healing and over the years, I figured that if my genealogy were, uh, medical doctors healing through medicine, maybe I'm a prayer doctor healing through prayer. So that's kind of how that came about.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Oh, I love it. So, what are, what are some of your early experiences of helping people [00:05:00] through prayer?
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Well, I'll tell you the first weekend when it happened, uh, so this was October 2016 and, you know, sometimes these momentous things in your life, you kind of remember. um, I had done some study up and for about six months to that point to try to understand the concept of prayer and healing. And then, uh, something clicked that weekend and I said, I'm going to try this. Uh, so I took a, got the nerve to go out and I went to Walmart and I went to a grocery store and places. And anytime I saw someone that looked like they were in pain, I walked up and said, looks like you're in pain. Can I pray for you? It was really literally that bold. And I remember, uh, two stories in particular on, on this day, it was a Saturday. And one person I walked up to, both of these were at Walmart, and one of them was a little old lady, she's riding one of the electric scooters in Walmart, uh, because she's disabled, she can't walk, [00:06:00] uh, easily on her own. And she had this, um, this assistant walking with her, and in front of her, that would take the things off the rack. So, I asked her, and I said, um, You know, are you in pain? You know, why are you in the scooter? That was kind of my entryway of, of getting into it. And she said, um, that she had degenerative disc in her neck and so she couldn't really move her neck. She definitely could not move it up or down like that. She had degenerative disc in her back, which means she couldn't, she couldn't bend over much and she couldn't stand long. She had arthritis in all of her joints. And I think if I recall correctly, she had lupus. So she was just kind of wracked in pain the assistant was there because as she's going through Walmart She couldn't look tilt her head up and look around So she could only move her eyes and the assistant would bring the stuff down and say is this what you want?
And she goes yes, so it's that type of environment. So [00:07:00] I prayed for her and just asked God to heal her and You know God of the universe who you know doesn't matter the name we use but just kind of like there's some creator being out there Uh, and I said, well, how do you feel? says, I don't feel any pain. I said, really?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: stand up and do something you couldn't do. She stands up. She moves her head like this all around. She then bends over and she's moving her arms. Totally without pain. I mean, I was kind of blown away because, uh, and, and, and it was so dramatic. I started to interview, or maybe interrogate, I'm not sure if, uh, the word to use, with that assistant.
This is a young 20 something year old woman who's, uh, been sort of a nurse assistant for this lady for several years, I said, You know, is she, was she really that bad off? Has she ever, I mean, is she able to do this? She's going, I've never seen her do that before. I mean, it was like one of [00:08:00] those type of things and later that day I, um, another lady I saw, she had on a white blouse, short sleeve, and she had a black compression sleeve on her right arm, and I recognized that enough to know There's probably some pain there.
Usually you have like compression gloves for arthritis and things of that sort. So I asked her, um, if she's in pain. She said, yes. said, can I pray for you? She said, don't touch me. I won't touch you. Okay. I promise. So I was asking her what it was. She said it was RSD. And I said, Oh, okay. Like I knew I had no idea what RSD was. I, um, Okay. I actually, on this particular one, her husband was with her. So, I had her husband pray for her. And, then I said, check it out. And she, she starts touching her arm. All the pain is gone. I mean, she was like, uh, she was dumbfounded.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: and what is RSD?
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: [00:09:00] so
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Oh, okay.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: into that
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Sorry.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: no idea.
No, no, no, you're good because I was doing the same thing What's RSD? Is this a big deal? So I come back home that weekend and talk to my dad and And I said, you know, have you ever heard of RSD? I was praying for this lady She had RSD and now all the pain goes away. And what is it? He said RSD is a neuro Neuropathy or neurologic type of pain that's incurable.
It's extremely painful just a sensitive touch And it's like you can't stand it's really painful, and he said if that went away. That's a miracle I mean it
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Wow.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: perspective. It was like that is just Unbelievable that never happened so that happened. That's a miracle so that was how I got started my first weekend I think I I must have prayed for probably 18 people when I get my mind focus on something, I just kind of zoom in and I [00:10:00] just concentrate, but I remember specifically there were six people when I prayed for them, uh, and they're all pain related, they were, uh, all the pain completely left.
So I call it healing, right? If you're in pain and you can't move your neck, it's healing. And now you can move it. I don't need a doctor to tell me that something happened. So that's my definition of healing. So one third of the people I prayed for were healed. And then, um, over time as we get in the story, I share some more, but over time it got to 90%. Uh, as I just go out and pray for people 90 percent of anyone I prayed for for whatever they had were healed and it's just like Wow, this is really cool. You kind of get a, sort of a high on it. You know, like if you've ever been, uh, if you've ever been, um, if you have to exercise or these guys who's, who they, they run all the time, there's sort of like this dopamine high that they got to go run again because it just drives them. And as I started praying [00:11:00] for people and people were being healed, it sort of drove me to do more and more and more. And it's just a lot of fun.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Well, that is so fascinating. Take us back to pre day one prayer. Like, what made you even get that idea? What kind of What triggered you to want to pray for people and to expect miracles?
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: uh, so Let me share how I grew up. I grew up in a church that was very legalistic
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Legalistic?
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: legalistic meaning So Legalistic is is it's very rule oriented and it's there's no what I'll call no love and compassion It's like hey if you you know That was your fault. You, you, you deserve to, to be in pain or something
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: [00:12:00] Hmm.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: And, and they also, um, believe that God can heal, that he, a lot of times, We are sick because God wants us to be sick. And so when they would pray they would say God Please heal this person if it be your will
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Hmm.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: meaning you might actually have brought the sickness upon this person to teach them something right to teach them perseverance to teach them To let go of all the happy things in life or whatever it is.
So it's very legalistic very much in the Uh, in the ancient Bible text, there's a, uh, an old rule called eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. If you break someone's arm, then your punishment is you get your arm broken. That's legalism, right? It's very much, um,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Black and white. Yeah. Wow.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: that, This God of the universe, [00:13:00] uh, really doesn't interact much with us, that he's kind of like this great big God somewhere up here and he just lets us do whatever we want and he doesn't engage much. And as a result of that, uh, he doesn't really come in and he doesn't heal. And that's borne out a lot of, by experience because people pray for healing all the time and God never heals, so maybe God just doesn't. pay any attention to me. That was kind of the, the environment I grew up in. So, I remember it was, uh, it was March of 2016 because it was six months, uh, from the time I started this journey to the time I started praying for people. I watched a Netflix, uh, a video that was on Netflix and it was a trilogy video series of, uh, almost like a docu series. A guy walking around with a camera, walking around with different people. And all the words, I would call them street prayers, right? They just prayed for people on the street. [00:14:00] And saw people starting to get healed of just little things like, you know, a guy has this limp and walking with crutches and now he walks away carrying his crutches. Or someone says, I've got this migraine and they pray and the person says, Oh wow, the headache's gone. little things like that, but I started to see this pattern I never seen before and it really. grabbed my heart and it made me thirst for more. Um, I don't know like if you've ever experienced anything, Kara, where, um, you, you see, you know, you're, you're just going through some place and you see something. You've never seen before, but for some reason it just grabs you and you can't get it out of your mind. And maybe it's a beautiful artwork, maybe it's something else. I had that happen with my watch. Um, uh, I, just somewhere and I saw this watch and I just had to have it. It was an expensive watch, my wife said. I've never seen you make a, you know, a decision quite so quick at that level expense. I said, well, [00:15:00] you don't understand it. I couldn't let it go. I've seen something like that 20 years ago and always wanted it, but I forgot about it. So that's what happened when I started to see this docuseries. Uh, it started to really grab my heart and looking backwards, I see what's going on. Keep in mind, I come from a line of seven generations of doctors who are focused on healing and you can kind of see from a spiritual standpoint patterns within the universe that they keep reproducing and maybe one pattern is in one line, uh, it's a line of military people, general after general after general. for me, it was doctor after doctor after doctor, a healing pattern. I call it a mantle, I don't know what a technical term, but just sort of like a spiritual mantle that says, lineage is focused on healing, but I never went into it. So when I saw this, it was like it awakened that healing [00:16:00] mantle within me. And I couldn't let it go and so I started to pursue trying to understand spiritual laws tied to it did research on You know, are there laws about healing and that's kind of what led me into this. It was a total shock I went to my church and in my church, they believe in God and Satan right as the kind of the two Major beings and they said well, you know Satan can heal too don't even give it credit to God, right? But you know, they think it's the enemy that's doing it. I'm going, okay, I got to leave this church too. You know, it's one of those
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: So, what I'm, what I do now, And just as a teaser to make, make sure that you don't think my story is boring. Um, but, but as a teaser, I teach at an addiction recovery center now and I've been applying how to improve their recovery. right now using a simple. prayer approach that I developed over these [00:17:00] last nine years, uh, I'm seeing for every 20 students coming into my class that have followed this and doesn't matter if they're religious or even atheist, but they simply follow this prayer approach. I'm seeing nearly 18 of those 20 people leave my class with no addictions.
No chronic pain, no mental illness issues, like no anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder. If they've been on medications for that stuff, which a lot of them are, uh, most of them start to get off that stuff. I've just seen everything clear, uh, change. So when I started this process, it started with, uh, I think the reason I moved it into prayer. know, from a secular standpoint, I would say that was my first experience. The docu series were all about prayer, so that's kind of where I focused. Um, there may have been something more where You know, some, the God up there is saying, um, prayer is how you communicate to me and, [00:18:00] and, and handle these spiritual laws that we all see, you know, we, we see the patterns, right? You see, uh, meditation that can bring healing, you'd see, uh, sound waves that can bring healing. And what we're seeing is this, watch this. Um, so I have a pen, and even though I can't see the earthly laws in physical sciences, if I hold my pen up and let it go, it's going to drop. And if you were to hold your pen up, like me, and let it go, it's going to drop.
And now we can determine there's a physical law that we call it gravity, that when you do the same activity. You get the same result and therefore you can determine it's a law and not simply happenstance. Well, I started to pursue the spiritual aspect of healing and recognizing through prayer that there are spiritual laws. That, uh, just like there's a law of frequency, that certain frequencies will bring healing. Certain meditation [00:19:00] approaches will bring healing. Certain processes will bring healing. All these are tapping into these laws that we create. We have no comprehension for uh, for lack of better understanding, I just call it a spiritual law I'm not sure it's really physical. And so I just started pressing in on that just from the prayer standpoint because how I started and maybe that's what this God wanted me to uncover is. how to bring healing to mankind through touching into these spiritual laws.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah, and can you unpack that a little bit in terms of like this repeatable. Sort of formula. Um,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Yeah.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: it more about the words? Is it more about where you're putting your focus? You know, are you bringing the energy into the heart? Or how, how does it look?
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: it's all about the words, whether you believe it or not. This is the [00:20:00] amazing thing, right? I don't have to believe if I let go of my pen, it's going to drop. But when I let go of it, it's going to drop. It doesn't have anything to do me bringing anything to the table, than the action of letting go. With prayer, it's simply the action of the words. Uh, let me give you the, uh, backstory that I think will help everyone grasp this. If you go back to all ancient religions and their religious practices, they all believe that there's some god or multiple gods up there, right? Because we're spiritual beings and we recognize the spirituality of There's something up there. Uh, and they all had the same pattern. And this is what's interesting, whether it's the old Hebrew God. Or an Islamic God, or a Hindu God, or whatever the various religions may be, Aztec and Mayan and all these They all have the same pattern. And [00:21:00] the pattern is, if I want that God to do something for me, then I'm first going to sacrifice to the God. going to spill blood, either human blood or animal blood, to bring appeasement to the God. I really don't understand why this works, but we see it in all these religions. So then once they bring a sacrifice of the shedding of blood, then they offer contrition. And contrition says, God, I'm sorry for whatever I may have done that you didn't want me to do.
Right? Uh, or maybe I didn't do something that you told me to do. So now they offer up contrition. And then they bring their request. And the request is will you help me in battle and give me victory over my enemy or increase my harvest. So you always see this pattern of a sacrifice, contrition, and petition. And as I started to, [00:22:00] uh, look into, These ancient texts, trying to uncover what are the spiritual laws that they talk about or that they hint towards. I, I landed on just the spiritual text of the Bible because it seemed to be very consistent. and, and as there, and as, I'm, I kind of like this. I'm still a scientist. I call it, I'm a spiritual law scientist because I test and measure, test and measure and see what works. And I started to pray for people, I saw a third of them getting healed. And then it moved to 50%, it moved to 90 percent as I continued to test different things. And what was interesting is none of it had to do with anything I brought to the table. It was just simply testing processes. Um, something significant happened. It went from 90 percent. So I call these, I call these my Walmart healings because literally I would just go out to Walmart on Saturdays. And I would, [00:23:00] um, uh, just walk up to people, Hey, I'm out praying for people.
Do you want to be healed on anything? And in a two week period of time, I went from 90 percent down to 10 percent and it startled me. And I started to pray to my God and said, what happened? And he said, I'm changing the rules on you. I said, Really? Why? Because now I want you to learn it, uh, he said the word authority, but I understood what he meant and it takes on a broader perspective because what I was doing, I was praying for people and they were being healed, but they weren't praying. And now what happened is because my prayers, like what I was praying for people, uh, was no longer effective. I was able to uncover. Based on the six years I've been doing that, I've been formulating these patterns that I've been seeing in my mind's eye [00:24:00] that tied into the spiritual law. So I reworked the prayer approach using that pattern that I just shared where you have appeasement, you have contrition, and you have petition. And I started to lead people into that same approach and instantly, I saw 90 percent of the people being healed, but this time of much more Amazing things, you know, glaucoma and cataracts being disappeared or broken worn out hips being renewed all kinds of things that we would say is Miraculous, but anytime you get the God who created everything to intervene in our life it's almost always going to be miraculous because it always defies the Earthly realities of things. at least that's how I see it. Maybe there's a different way to I was doing one show and I call it miraculous. He said, well, you know, Miraculous is usually what we say when we don't have any other explanation. I say, you know, that's probably a better explanation It may not always just be God right may just be some law that's going on [00:25:00] and uh, and so that's how I look How I was led into this thing Um, I documented in my book called The Prayer of Freedom and it's a, it's just a simple set of processes of how you identify, uh, how you identify things that maybe you did that this God of the universe isn't happy with. And then you say, I'm sorry. then those, these things disappear out of your life. I mean, it's really that simple
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: So,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: everything.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: so when you talk about the appeasement or the sacrifice, let's talk more about this and the blood and
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Yeah. So, um, Without getting too religious, uh, the sacrifice part seems to have been handled. So, you know, we don't have to go sacrifice our pet or, you know, do anything like that. So, uh, but we see the pattern in ancient religion, so there's something important there. [00:26:00] my particular religion says there's been a, a sacrifice that all sacrifices, so we don't have to worry about the sacrificial part. So what the prayer portion is that I've developed is simply the contrition. Saying I'm sorry then the petition saying would you please heal me now? And there's a simple approach and then there's a more approach the simple approach that I've been Really amazed with is just leading people to ask the God of the universe if this issue whatever it may be I've got this migraine.
I've got this pain in the shoulder. got anxiety all the time Whatever it is if it's tied to a spiritual root of anything that I need to apologize to you for, okay? That's something I may have done that I should not have done. Sort of like the idea of karma. Are you familiar with karma? How that, [00:27:00] you know,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: yeah,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: you do bad things, bad things will happen to you.
That's my simple understanding of it. And while karma is not part of my religion, what happens is, a very real thing because can see those patterns and that's what I'm saying. We see these patterns and we we start to apply words and labels to it, but it's a pattern because there is a Spiritual undercurrent laws that are governing all this and so that's why you know, it doesn't matter what religion you are It's these laws you're asking about the words And the best way that I can describe what I'm sensing with all of this, uh, and keep in mind this is my, my way of trying to bring an earthly understanding, things that make sense to me in concept, to the spiritual laws that I'm seeing being applied and the results. Um, have you ever been in a courtroom, either as a, uh, defendant [00:28:00] or as the plaintiff?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: no.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Okay. Uh, have you ever watched a, like, some case going on, you have the def, you have a defendant, you have the, the plaintiff, you
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah. I mean, I've seen it on TV and things. Yeah.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: So, uh, so think in terms of a prosecution. So this is going to be a criminal type of lawsuit. And here the, the three main parties, you have the judge, you have the defendant, and you have the prosecutor, the prosecuting attorney. The prosecuting attorney's role is to. uh, uh, Prosecute the defendant that they broke a law. And if they broke a law, then the judge issues a judgment. Okay? So that's the pattern usually the um uh The word is it's not so much What you feel about, you know, if I'm the defendant and I come in and I'm really sorry and the human standards that Means nothing really either I'm guilty or not and do I [00:29:00] put up a good enough defense? Using the laws tried to defend me in a bigger sense. It's almost as if This is the pattern that I'm seeing it's almost as if that when we have these issues in our lives And then we, uh, ask God, what, what am I being accused of, right? What did I do wrong? He said, well, you did this wrong. And you say, okay, well, I'm going to apologize for that. And, um, uh, and say I'm sorry. And then, now will you take this thing away from me, this pain? And it starts to disappear. It's literally It's just like that. I remember this one lady at this addiction recovery center. She's been struggling. She'd been, I'll call her name Susan because I really don't know her name. This was years ago, but she was, uh, rheumatoid arthritis for 15 or 20 years. And, uh, it was acting up this day and people knew I prayed for people. So she asked if I [00:30:00] would pray with her. And I said, uh, as I'm starting to pray, I said, do you have unforgiveness toward anyone? She said, yes. I said, who is that? She says, my sister about 20 years ago, she did something that really hurt me. I said, would you be willing to forgive her? She said, yes. So, she, so I let her in. I forgive this person. And then I said, test out your arthritis. So, she went up and down the flight of stairs. She came back. She said, It feels a lot better.
I mean, just literally that quickly. I didn't think anything of it because that's kind of a normal thing for what I see. But she caught it with me four weeks later and said, Beatty, I want to tell you the rest of the story. Ever since you prayed with me, I've had no arthritis pain. went back to the doctor last week and he retested me for arthritis.
And he said, I have no arthritis in my body. And not only that, she said, the doctor said, My body shows no signs of ever having had it. [00:31:00] Now she'd been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis years back. They've been, uh, the, the therapy was for rheumatoid arthritis, but simply forgiving someone, which to hold unforgiveness for is something that God doesn't like. So, uh, simply by forgiving, she saw her arthritis completely disappear. So that's the pattern, is asking God, is there something That I've done that I need to I'm sorry for the biblical, the, I use the biblical word because I'm sure every, every religion has a different, I know that the Hebraic religions, um, Hebrew, um, uh, Muslim, uh, Islam and Christianity and all the various forms use the word repentance when you move into like, uh, Hindu religions and others, there's a different word, but it kind of means the same thing. and. when you have, ask God to [00:32:00] say, you know, reveal, is there anything I've done wrong? And something comes to mind, you just say, I repent of it. watch this, back to this legal courtroom. The judge says, well, how do you plead? you say, uh, not guilty. Or something like that. Whatever it is that you say is the words that you say that matter. It's not any energy or emotion that you bring to the table. It's simply words that carry a legal. Meaning, so watch this, if we're dealing with spiritual laws and there's a law of consequence, you do something the law and now there's a consequence, our prayer is really more of a, defending ourself in a legal realm. laws and words, and so this is why it's the word that you say, it's not, doesn't have anything to do with whether you believe it's going to happen or not, this is what I've been seeing, right? I see people that have no belief, they just go [00:33:00] through the words and all of a sudden, like, the pain's gone, or, um, things like that.
I'm talking too long, I apologize, but
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: No, not at all. Well, I'm very interested to know, like the, if you're just talking to people, cause I love the followup with Susan, how you got to be ran across her a month later for these, because I've had experiences where. Um, my, you know, if I'm having neck, neck pain or something, it might feel better for a little bit and then it, it might come back.
So do you have, what about like long term? Do you have data on that? Wow.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: to, um, a more controlled environment, both at the Addiction Recovery Center and just as word got out, friends and people would come to me. Um, and so I, I, I now have, uh, longer history, you know, several [00:34:00] years of history. Like one guy, um, uh, he's been a friend of mine for years.
I was on the phone with him, his, um, this was like two years ago. His name is Bud and he's my age, so what's that, 25, I think, something like that. Yeah, teasing. I'm in the fifties. Um, and, uh, we were talking and he mentioned something about his hip and it's been really hurting. He said, I'm walking with a crutch even in my house.
I've been using a crutch now for a year and a half. It's so painful. The doctors are saying I need, I need a hip replacement surgery, but he said, don't want to go in on the knife. I've heard so many horror stories. And I want to do this holistically, I want to do it through nutrition, but I don't want to go under the knife. it struck me as being one of these things, I call it a torment. And a torment is, I did something wrong and now I'm paying the consequence of it in some capacity. So I asked Bud a series of questions to identify things that he may have done wrong. [00:35:00] Like, do you have any unforgiveness for anyone? No. you ever slept with anyone outside of marriage? Yes. Uh, have you ever, uh, played in, uh, uh, in some other realms that, dark realms that we don't want to go into? No. Everything I, was no. So I said, it must be something tied with promiscuity. because one of the spiritual laws, there's a, there's a spiritual connection when two people have sex and when it's, um, uh, when it's not done in the pattern that God says to do it, then it becomes a sin. As what the Bible, uh, the Hebrewic, uh, religions call it, uh, use the word sin. so I, uh, I said, well, let's test this. I said, stand up and check it out. Tell me what the pain level is. So he stands up, he sits right back down and he said it was a seven. Okay, let's ask God to simply, um, uh, let's just, uh, repent and say that [00:36:00] I'm sorry for Uh, having, being promiscuous in high school. he did, I just let him through a prayer, God, I'm sorry for being promiscuous in high school with, and he just listed people off and then I said, okay, now break all the spiritual connections with them. Any negative spiritual connections, so he said, now break all negative spiritual connections with those people I just listed. I said, now God, would you heal his hip? And I said, stand up. Now, I'm on the phone with him, okay? So, I'm on, on, on the cell, on the cell phone, and I said, stand up, and, uh, me what you feel. And the phone goes dead. I go, Bud? Bud? I look at my phone, my phone's still on, right? It's still connected, I hadn't dropped the call. And, Bud, are you there? And then I hear this whimpering, like he's sobbing. And I get this great big grin on my face because I know exactly what happens because this happens so frequently. [00:37:00] He is so startled because he wasn't expecting anything. He gets back to the phone after, in about two or three minutes later, after he recovers his composure. He says, Beatty, I have no pain. Now, what happened was, 35 years ago, he was in college football. He damaged his hip, I think he broke it, and the doctor said, will eventually need hip replacement surgery, but wait as long as you can, because technology keeps improving. so, this was a broken 35 years, and now it's completely out of pain.
I said, well, go up the stairs and check, and it really put some pressure on it. So, would normally have to go up one step at a time like this, but now he's going up, you know, just normally and I checked back with him literally probably three months ago or less and he's still walking without a Crutch, it's still without pain. So it's you know being [00:38:00] able to follow up with people like that I'm seeing this pattern now some of them Things start to come back. There's another thing that happens it actually has to do with your thought. I, I, I found this out with this one lady. She was in a wheelchair for 11 years. And it was tied to something that she did in high school. Um, some oath that she should never have taken, but she didn't know any better. so when she said, I'm sorry about taking that oath. pain in her leg, in her foot, literally disappeared instantaneously, uh, and she was able to get out of the wheelchair. And she's walking around, uh, and then about a, um, uh, several weeks later, she's back in the wheelchair. And so I go to where I go all the time, I go, God, what happened? And he, he said, and I'm going to use a term. He said, [00:39:00] she, something happened that gave that pain. legal right to return so if you think back in the um, the courtroom set setting, uh, so in the courtroom you're being accused of breaking a law and this is a legal process and so what I find is these laws in the spiritual realm seem to be tied to Something called a legal right, and I don't really understand it, but he, God put in my heart a, uh, an impression of what it was. So I, I got back on the phone, her name is Francille, and I got back on the phone with Francille, and said, Francille, I think I know what's, what's going on, but let's test it, because I'm always trying to figure it out. So the first thing I did is say, let's just pray and ask God to remove that pain. God, please remove this pain. And it went from an 8 to a 3, okay, so something happened, it didn't leave, [00:40:00] please remove it, pain, I command you to leave, right, speaking to it as, as, some sort of, maybe I have authority over it, and it wouldn't go, then I said, here's what I think's going on, Francille, you've been in that wheelchair for 11 years, and I bet it's become an identity of yours, identity of being in pain, and the God of the universe, Says that you don't have to be in pain, that he doesn't want you there, and he doesn't want you thinking that you're in pain. Because he got you out of pain. So maybe your identity of being in pain, um, has violated what God wants you to believe. So now we have our thoughts. I said, let's try this. Let's repent or say, I'm sorry for your identity of being in pain. So she said, God, repent to my identity of being in pain. Now [00:41:00] will you take this pain away? it left. And now she's walking around three months. with no pain. I text, texted her, you know, how's it going? It's Christmas time. She said, great. I'm at my children's house. I'm standing at the kitchen doing dishes. No, no problem. I texted her back in January. I said, how's it going? She said, I'm back in the wheelchair. I texted her back and said, have you repented? 30 seconds later or 30 minutes later, she said, it's gone.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Wow.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: sometimes these things come back if it's been chronic because you create this identity of that is who you are. And if that's who you are, that's who you become. Does that make sense?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: but it's not just a mental thing, or just thinking it.
There's actually a spiritual thing that ties into these spiritual laws. Because I've seen time, after time, after time, you believe that's who you are, and [00:42:00] that issue comes back, and you simply repent of believing that, and say, God, I'm sorry, and then what we actually do, we start to take the authority of God, and now in the authority of this almighty God, I command this pain to leave me. Right? If you think of the pain almost like a, almost like a, um, tormentor in a separate entity. This is the, this is the only way I've been able to reconcile this. And when I use this pattern, it works. So I don't know whether my understanding is exactly correct, but the pattern seems to work consistently.
And that is when I re, or when I guide someone to say, I'm sorry for doing this. And then I guide them into saying and now in the authority of God, I command my shoulder pain to leave. I command anxiety to leave. And we just call it by, as a noun, I command you to leave. usually when it starts to leave. [00:43:00] It's really, been strange, but it's been
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Fascinating.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Yeah.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah. So one thing that comes to mind as I listen to this is The complexity of the human experience and how many times we may feel that we have done something wrong. So, you know, I, if, if I'm experienced neck, experiencing neck pain, for example, you know, you are zeroing in on one thing, you know, you gave buds hip.
And it, you zeroed in on promiscuity or, or however you want to put it, but, um, you know, if we have lived, have a lot of experiences and haven't always made the highest choice, which would be everybody,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Yes,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: know, um, how do we zero in on what might be the root cause of our pain?
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: so there are two processes. One is what I call the quick and easy works successfully for lots of little things. [00:44:00] Like I've seen this work with pain a lot or maybe depression, of that sort. But when you get to bigger issues like Uh, addictions, maybe more long term, heavy chronic things like diabetes, or you get to things like maybe glaucoma. It may not be quite so simple. And so actually, um, in my book, uh, my book is divided in two sections. The first half is The, um, uh, the story behind this, laying the foundation, I use the ancient religious text of the Bible to identify these spiritual laws because that's where I started to see them and I would then apply them, I would test them and they would prove themselves true. So, I'm saying, whether you believe in, um, You know, if you're religious or not, it doesn't matter. That becomes just the, the textbook for my spiritual, the Spiritual Laws [00:45:00] Foundation. The second half of the book is actually a worksheet, uh, and a work process with the specific prayers. So, you know, it's the words you say, whether you really believe it or not, it's simply that you speak them out. And then, um, in the back, I've identified 18 different types of categories of where we have problems. The most important one being our relationship with our mom and dad growing up.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Hmm.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Because so many of us have had hurts, trauma, abuse, being molested, being abandoned. That these are deep wounds. That we don't understand, uh, I mean, just the cycle, just the physiological aspect of unforgiveness.
Unforgiveness is create stress, which secretes adrenaline to fight or flight cortisol to shut down all this, all the issues in your body so that all your energy can go into the fight or flight mode. But if you never turn it off because you've never. Forgive. [00:46:00] Those things just wear your body down. Uh, with cortisol secretion, you have, um, decreased, uh, white blood cells. So over time, you're more susceptible to disease because you can't fight it off. It makes you want to eat. Eat fat. Uh, eat sugary foods, high carb foods, because if you're fighting and f and fleeing, you have to have the energy. So you're eating more, you're gaining weight, it's storing the weight in your belly, so now you're getting a big belly, but that also creates precursors to organ failure and diabetes. And then cortisol also suppresses the secretion of dopamine and serotonin, which are the feel-good hormones. So now you're always feeling bad and you're anxious. And you know, all this comes through simply because You have grudges against your, one of your parents from years back and you've never let it go. we, uh, identify things like that. Things, what I call word curses. This is what Francille was doing. Uh, because she believed something that wasn't true. It [00:47:00] kind of became a curse in her life. the way to, um, all kinds of things that are things that I find are these spiritual laws. Uh, spiritual implications that we do. So, the deeper dive is. You go through and say, God, just reveal to me as I go through these categories, I need to be putting down on this list. And then the way the prayer works is, uh, you have a pre written prayer, God, I repent of having sex outside of marriage with the following people. And then your list, all the people it was.
So you're just going, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing. Then the next one you, you know, next category. And so what's happening is you're weaving your list. with a pre written prayer, now it makes it a totally customized litigation for you in that courtroom. simply by saying these words, these things drop off.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Wow. Well, thank you for sharing that. So your book is The Prayer of [00:48:00] Freedom,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Yes, the
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: and, and people can get that everywhere?
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: So the simplest place to go is just add the word book at the end of the title, the prayerfreedombook.
com. And if you do that, I've got a site set up that now you've got a button that will take you straight to Amazon to get it. There's some more information at the site, you can get discounts and things of that sort. one thing I'd like to demonstrate, if, if I can, I would like to demonstrate. So that's the full part.
That's like getting holistically clean everywhere. sometimes someone has just one little thing that they're really want to get rid of. that nagging shoulder pain or that migraine or something. And, um, I'd like to demonstrate how this works in the simplistic form. Can I do that?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yes, please.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Um, and let me ask you, do you have anything that I can use you as a guinea pig for the demonstration?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah, sure. I have some neck pain. Sorry, I didn't mean to [00:49:00] interrupt you. Four.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: perfect. Okay. So you got some neck pain and on a scale of zero to ten, ten being most pain, what level would you give it? A four. Okay. Perfect. So here's what we're going to do. we're going to do essentially three steps. Step number two has two parts to it. The first step is I'm going to lead you to ask God to bring anything to your mind. you need to say I'm sorry for and I'm and I'll use the word repent because that's my my terminology. Okay? And then anything he brings to your mind I'm going to have you turn off your microphone and just speak those things out loud The key is it has to be spoken out loud, but we don't want to air your dirty laundry anywhere So we're going to turn off your microphone then I'll have you turn your microphone back on and then we're going to Command that neck pain to leave and the authority of God Because if he created the law and if he's a judge, then if you tell him you're sorry and now he removes [00:50:00] that judgment, you're acting in his authority. Does that make sense?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yes.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: And then we're going to see if this neck pain goes away.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Okay. All right. Dear
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: so just repeat after me, uh, dear God,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: God,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: I want to get rid of this neck pain
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: I want to get rid of this neck pain,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: and if it has a spiritual root,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: and if it has a spiritual root,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: I ask that you bring it to my mind now.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: I ask that you bring it to my mind now.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Any sin I need to repent of
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Any sin I need to repent of,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: or any person I need to forgive.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: or any person I need to forgive.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Alright, so now this is your time to turn off your mic so no one can hear you. But the key is to speak out loud.
So
Uh, so let me, let me give you the words to use, okay? Because this is what I was mentioning. It's not the, the energy you bring. It's not the belief you bring.
It's simply the technicality of the words. Because in a courtroom setting. It's all technical, [00:51:00] legal technicality. So the words to use are, if it's something that you did that you know you shouldn't have done or that God's putting in your mind right now, it's, I repent of blank, whatever that is. And if that blank had anything to do with another person, use that person's name.
Like I repent of stealing money from John. Or you and John stole money from the grocery store, I repent of stealing money with John. Okay? If it's an unforgiveness. Then it's, I forgive blank for blank, okay? You don't have to feel emotional about, oh, I'm in an emotional state to forgive. It's simply the statement, okay?
That's the key. now, whatever God may be putting in your mind, if anything, those are the words. I repent of blank with blank. I forgive blank for blank. [00:52:00] Finished?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yes.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Perfect. Now did any of that include a person?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yes.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Okay, perfect. So now this is part, the second part of the second thing. I break all negative spiritual contacts.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: And I break all negative spiritual contacts,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Connections,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: connections,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: uh, with those people I named,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: with those people I named,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: and I release all judgments against them as well.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: and I release all judgments against them as well.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: And now God,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: And now God,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: I ask that you remove this neck pain.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: I ask that you remove this neck pain
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: And in the authority of Almighty God,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: and in the authority of almighty God,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: I command my neck pain to leave me now.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: I command my neck pain to leave me [00:53:00] now.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: All right, now check it out and tell me and see if there's any difference.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: It def, it definitely is different. Oh, there was a little crack.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Good. The crack
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: a good sign.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah. It definitely is
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Give
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: better.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Okay, give me a number.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Uh, three.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Perfect. Okay. So now here's what's happened. We're not finished yet, but here's what's happened. All you did is repented of whatever God put in your mind and now the pain is going out. So that shows the direct causation between repentance and healing, which then infers a more direct causation between something God doesn't want you to do. and the pain. Do you see these patterns?
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Yeah.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: I see it every time. So now what we're going to do is a lot of times these things get stubborn. So we're going to command it and we're going to do this third part again. [00:54:00] So just repeat after me, God thank you
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: God, thank you
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: for reducing my pain to a three.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: for reducing my pain to a three.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: I ask that you remove it to a zero.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: I ask that you remove it to a zero
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: And now pain
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: pain and now pain
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: and the authority of God.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: in the authority of God.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: I command you to go to a zero now.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: you to go to a zero now.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Now check it out.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: It's still, it's still there a little bit, but it's, it is better.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Give me the number.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Let's see. Hold on. It's, it always feels okay when I'm just not moving. Um, a one or two, maybe one and a half.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: Great. So now, repeat that last step again. All on your own. You don't need me. It's a simple [00:55:00] pattern.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Um, so is it the now pain or start with, um, thank you
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: yeah, actually, just, just command it out. Say, okay, pain.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: pain
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: in God's authority,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: in God's, in God's authority, get out now,
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: go to a zero,
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: go to a zero.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: stop slowing down, just have fun with it. And now test it out.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Let's see.
I think, I mean, I'm like
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: gone.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: it. Yeah. It's, it may be like a 0. 5. So let's say it's gone.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: so my experience has been, it usually takes two or three times like that
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Okay.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: it all the way out. So what you're experiencing is normal. It takes several times. And so what you'll actually see in my book is, uh, the prayerfreedombook. com for the listeners is the [00:56:00] whole prayer approach is structured over a period of time that you can, without even knowing what you're having to do, just following the guideline of what to do. and it just keeps pushing it out because every time you do it, it keeps commanding it out. my, the prayer in my book, uh, takes on more of a religious flavor only because it's from the religion where I am. But the process is the same, and so if you don't like the religious flavor, the religious flavor uses the word Jesus sometimes because that's the Christian. And if you don't want to do that, just use the word God, just replace it because in reality there's one God up there, at least I believe there's one God, maybe there's multiple things. it doesn't matter what you call God. He knows that you're talking to him. So you can call him Allah if you want to, and it'll still work. You can call him, you know, my higher light power in the sky, [00:57:00] he'll still respond. That's the great thing with this. It, not religious. It's simply spiritual.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: And that's where you, there's no ego on that side. So it's hard for us to even relate of, of like, well, you know, you can, he accepts you, he accepts being called different things and isn't so attached to the name. So.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: attached to the name, and you know, he's not really attached to what you believe. Other than that you your best to try to follow him, know, I mean, that's that that's what he wants He it was described to me and it's so true. He wants a personal relationship with each of us
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Hmm. That's beautiful.
beatty-guest196_1_03-19-2025_103526: And it doesn't matter whether I call dad dad father Abba, whatever, you know, my dad just wants me to and hug him so he [00:58:00] can hug me back and that's how God is.
kara-goodwin_1_03-19-2025_113527: Beautiful. So your, your website is the prayer of freedom book. com

Beatty Carmichael
I come from a line of seven generations of medical doctors, and while I never pursued medicine myself, I took a scientific approach to applying spiritual laws to healing. That led me to become what one might call a prayer doctor, one who brings healing through prayer instead of medicine.
This journey has led me to focus on bringing healing in ways that medicine cannot. Most people believe God doesn’t answer prayers anymore because they’ve never seen it happen for them. But I’ve discovered a unique, four-step method to prayer that moves God to supernaturally intervene around 87% of the time.
Here’s what I’ve found: most of these issues—chronic pain, migraines, relationship conflicts, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, addictions, sleep apnea, and more—have a spiritual root. And when you get rid of the root, you get rid of the problem.
Through this method, I’ve seen over 700 people experience complete and lasting freedom of these issues. It happens quickly, often in as little as 12 minutes for most issues.
My book, The Prayer of Freedom, explains step-by-step why this works and how to apply it in your life.
